Dr. Betty Carreira is a podiatrist that I, being a type 2 diabetic, have seen in regular follow up care for several years for foot problems. She has also performed two surgical procedures on my feet—the more recent surgery being an emergency procedure to drain fluids from my red, swollen, and painful left foot after I stepped on a large nail hidden under grass that pierced my tennis shoe and then my foot, causing a painful and frightening infection. The surgery and Dr. Carriera’s follow up care prevented the infection from advancing and within a short time completely cured it, leaving only the tiniest unnoticeable scar. Dr. Carreira is a kind, knowledgeable, meticulous, efficient, trustworthy, and well-trained foot doctor. She is also fun to talk to, and is well-liked by her patients. I see her at the Danbury, CT office. Her staff is always courteous and pleasant. I would 100% recommend Dr. Carreira to anyone in need of a foot doctor. She’s one of the best.
