Dealing with sensitive health issues is never easy, and as a gay man, I’ve faced my fair share of uncomfortable conversations with doctors. When I was referred to UT Physicians for a lingering problem, I hoped for the best, but the experience fell flat. The doctor I saw was in a rush and barely listened to what I was going through. I felt like I was just being pushed through the system, without any real consideration for my concerns or how I was feeling.That’s when I found Dr. Das, and honestly, it made all the difference. From the first time we talked, he treated me with genuine respect and compassion. He made sure I understood my options and didn’t make me feel judged or rushed. He was patient, answering all my questions and giving me time to make decisions without pressure. It felt like he really cared about me as a person, not just as a patient.The treatment process was way smoother than I expected, and Dr. Das’s team at Southwest Surgical Associates was just as welcoming.
