Patient Reviews
Jan 26, 2024
In 2013 I was diagnosed with stage III possibly stage IV melanoma. The oncology surgeon gave me the poor prognosis with a life expectancy of around 6 months. From that office I was taken to the hematology office to see if there were any type of therapy or options that may extend my life expectancy. This is where I met Dr. Nair. He took the time to listen to me although I think I do remember him rolling his eyes a couple of times. (LOL) YOU see I am critical care nurse working in the facility where Dr. Nair was practicing. He took the time to listen to my medical history and not jump to conclusions based on the melanoma diagnosis. I told him that I had for the past few years had a group of symptoms that no one could find a cause. I think I saw a light bulb go off above his head as he listen to my symptoms. I wasn't sure if that was a good sign or a bad sign. He left the room and came back with a printed handout ,asked me to read over it and this is where I got my first diagnosis of a very rare lymphoma. Had it not been for Dr. Nair 20 years ago I certainly would not be here today. He walked me through the diagnosis process and the interventions. He responded immediately to my emails. I am sure he must of once again rolled his eyes and thought nurses got to be the worst patient's. I am thankful and here today doing very well because of Dr. Nair being who he is and in right pace at right time to save my life.

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams.
