I had an elective surgery delayed for several years due to Covid restrictions and availability. I saw Dr. Hough when the situation started becoming too painful. He took to the time to explain to me the different options and how he would make a decision after the surgery started. He worked me into his schedule and performed a complex hernia surgery. What had started as an elective surgery turned into an almost emergency surgery due to complications. Dr. Hough took time with me, answered all my questions, and had an exceptional bedside manner. He completed the complex surgery instead of the faster mesh surgery because in my situation doing a complex laparoscopic surgery ensured that I would not be back for the same surgery in 10 years. I have worked with many surgeons during my career and I consider Dr. Hough among the best. I highly recommend him for producing the most positive outcomes in general surgery.
