I met with Dr. Juelg to request the HPV vaccine. As 'older women' (40's) don't 'suit the profile' for this vaccine, it is neither prescribed nor recommended for women in my age group. But given its effectiveness, despite the possibility of my prior exposure to any of the 100+ strains of HPV, the possibility of protecting against any (even 1!) strain that might lead to cervical cancer, makes this vaccine a no-brainer to me. Dr. Juelg was very knowledgeable, patient and listened to my concerns.
