When Dr Tropea informed me that I had pancreatic cancer, he did it kindly, honestly and provided hope. He performed the Whipple procedure and saved my life. I put my trust in him and he brought me through the recovery. It wasn't his bedside manner ( he is a surgeon after all) that makes me admire him it's because he made me feel safe with his serious approach in my pre and post surgery care.
