I was a friend of family asked to be there for very difficult discussion. Dr. Bird spent a great deal of time, explained everything, sought input from the patient and family, answered questions and was so very decent. I’m a retired nurse educator, and was truly amazed at his poise and ability to manage a very hard discussion. I have seen seasoned docs handle these type of discussions, and he had most of them bested. At the end, he asked if everyone had their questions answered before he left. Quite impressive!
