Dr. Goodman is a caring, honest, thorough, very hard working and knowledgeable doctor who does his best for his patients to the extent he’s able to within the context of the institution he works. I was surprised he didn’t visit me in person (when I was in-patient for several days at the epilepsy monitoring clinic) or after I was released, but I suspect that’s because I was under the care of other doctors (cardiologists) while I was there. It was disappointing, though, especially as my time at the clinic didn’t result in any diagnosis or treatment (I was told that I had episodes of brain slowing) and I was left with no more information than I started. I wish that he’d been there to help me understand what brain slowing means and what further steps, if any, I should take. He’s inundated with patients, so this doesn’t change my overall impression of him as a doctor. I can’t recommend his NP. I think she’s there to be a gate keeper. She’s good at it, but not a kind person.
