During the summer of 2022. I developed a serious condition with my pancreas. I bounced from different gastroenterologists that didn’t know quite what to do with me. It wasn’t until I got to OHSU and Dr. Shepard and his staff were amazing!I talked to several staff and other patients, but said he’s one of the top pancreatic surgeons in the country.my family, and I will be forever grateful for Dr. Shepard and his wonderful interns..

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
