Dr Burnikel is an exceptional Orthpedic Surgeon! From the time I first saw him two plus years ago I felt he and his staff were patient centered and there to help me. I received steroid shots for several years until they were no longer effective. Dr Burnikel never rushed me into surgery as other orthopedic surgeons had—“when you’re ready for surgery, come back to see me.”(this was my second knee replacement). I had complications with my first knee that were never addressed by my first surgeon. In the total replacement of my second knee Dr Burnikel took additional steps to keep those problems from resurfacing. Thus far, I have had nothing but excellent results. I always felt great about my visits with Dr Burnikel—that he listened and was very positive that he would help me. I think he is THE BEST. I traveled from out of town to Greenville to see him and would do it again in a heartbeat. I have recommended him to many friends. I’m so grateful he’s my doc!!!
