I was scheduled for surgery to place a spinal cord stimulator -SCS. I was VERY excited to have this surgery as it meant relief for a large portion of a 27 year history with upper thoracic, neck and arm chronic pain due to CRPS. Literally minutes before I was to go into surgery several of my lab values were discovered to be pretty abnormal. Needless to say I was quite disappointed to have my surgery canceled and the cause of these test results needed to be investigated. This was for the protection of my health and also the safety of Dr Cameron's career. He was well aware of how badly I wanted this procedure and right away placed me on the next OR schedule for this type of surgery knowing I may not have any answers yet. He took my personal feelings into account yet acted on my best interest. I look forward to him performing my surgery ASAP.
