I only gave a "4" to the question about explanations because I had asked the resident/intern assistant to see my injury on both the MRI and a model of a shoulder. At the end of Dr. Magovern's visit to my room, I had to ask Dr.M himself to show me the Injury on the MRI. Dr. Magovern took the time to find the appropriate images and explain what I was seeing on the screen. But I never got an explanation using a model. I really wanted to see the model so I could fully understand what motions should be avoided to limit further Injury to my rotator cuff.Dr. Magovern is fabulous. He's extremely knowledgeable, seemed to be genuinely interested in my issue, did his own quick evaluation of my injury, and took my preferences into account when explaining and recommending available treatments. BUT I answered the question about recommending Dr. Magovern with a "3" because it takes way too long to get an appointment to see him. Unless I was certain that Dr. M's specific expertise was real...
