Patient Reviews
Oct 14, 2024
I took a bad fall in Mesquite, Nevada and was taken by ambulance to the ER. I was in excruciating pain and after a few hours and x-rays, the doctor told me nothing was broken so they could not keep me. I was given crutches and poured into an UBER to take me to our motel. After two days of my friend driving, I arrived home to Laramie. For three weeks I suffered tremendous pain and finally called my doctor (Doctor Emma Bjore) who immediately referred me to Doctor Burk Young. Within ten minutes, and a Stat Cat Scan, he told me that I had a broken pelvis in four places. Dr. Young told me to immediately cease all activities, ordered a prescription for pain if I needed, put me on regimen of Calcium and Vitamin D3 and ordered a bone density scan. He was courteous and professional and extremely competent. I immediately began to recover. For the first time in weeks, I felt well cared for. Dr. Young was friendly, caring and skilled and I highly recommend him.

Board Certifications
What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
