I've been one of Dr. Correa's prostate radiation patients for almost 9 months. Initially when my wife and I were trying to made the best decision as to which avenue to pursue (radiation or surgery) she was VERY thorough regarding all our questions. She closed our session with a kindly comment to my wife, 'if he were MY husband, this approach we've been discussing is exactly what I'd do for him.' Both of us found that to be a real comfort. Dr. Correa kept up the thorough approach as I began radiation. After four weeks or so, I had fallen into a routine, so our appointments were much shorter. Even so, she was happy to answer my additional questions. One question was the length of my treatment; several of my friends had experienced similar radiation but different lengths, and she provided a clear explanation that helped me recognize she wasn't just applying a cookie-cutter approach. She is a top-notch doctor and radiation expert!
