I’ll start with her staff. I had an appt at the Benton office, referred by my pcp, after having a positive ANA & elevated RNP. From the time I walked into the office, I was treated with respect & dignity. The front staff is awesome. Smiles on their faces & eager to help! Darla, Dr. Hammonds medical assistant is great at what she does & is an absolute sweetheart. I found Dr. Hammonds to be thorough, competent, engaging, she explained everything to me in organized fashion. She answered all of my questions. She explained to me the difference between UCTD & MCTD. She ordered more labs to confirm diagnosis. I loved her. However, I like straightforward people. Because I’m straightforward. I don’t need or want a physician who wants to hold my hand. I like matter of fact, this is where we stand. If you want a doctor who is gonna sugar coat things & hold your hand, Dr. Hammonds is not your doctor. I found her to be truthful & honest. She is not going to search for an illness that isn’t there.
