My wife suffered a Comminuted Interarticular Distal Radius Fracture on 12-25-2021 in Wausau Wisconsin. I took her to the Emergency Room and immediately scheduled her surgery for Monday at 7:30 am. Prior to the surgery I met Dr. Carissa Kirk. We discussed Anesthesia options and the approach in her case. I explained to Dr. Kirk that I’ve been in Orthopaedics for 34 years as an Orthopedic Rep so I’m in surgery all the time. She was fabulous in her attention to detail. My wife went into surgery on time and I saw her in just over an hour. After the case and prior to seeing my wife in recovery I saw Dr. Carissa. She showed me the films and I was blown away! This was a very difficult Surgery because of all the comminuted pieces that had to be reconnected but suffice it to say it was a spectacular result! Quite possibly the best X-rays I’ve ever seen in a difficult surgery. Let me close by saying I’d give her a 5 star rating and would recommend her with glowing reports!
