I’ve had severe migraine disease since I was a kid, which was almost 50 years ago. I’ve been to many doctors and have tried many, many different treatment plans throughout those years. I saw one of the supposedly premier migraine docs at the New England Headache Institute in Stamford, CT for about 5 years, and, although he was kind and sympathetic, he wasn’t as knowledgeable about treatments as he should have been based on the high reviews he consistently received. I moved to the Boston area in 2007, and I’ve been seeing Dr. Bernstein since. She immediately and radically changed my treatment plan which helped me considerably. My migraine disease is complicated and doesn’t respond well to many treatments. Dr. Bernstein has never let me lose faith in her. Her mantra has always been “I’ll help you, and we’ll figure this out.” She always stays on top of new medications and therapies, along with all new research. She is the best clinician I’ve ever worked with.
