It was hard for me to swallow when I was diagnosed bipolar 2. I felt like if I just worked out harder, ate better, practiced yoga more, I could get control of my mood swings and terrible depressions. But no matter what I did, I always ended up in a deep depression that lasted for years. It got really bad when I started googling suicide and self-harming and it scared me. My family found Catherine for me and I can't tell you how thankful I am to have found her. She got me on the right medication, gave me an hour each time to talk about how I was feeling- it was more like therapy really. She was patient, but also didn't baby me. Sometimes I wanted more coddling, but I always appreciated that she was direct and straightforward. She saved my life. Once I was on the right medication, I started having a better relationship with my family, I went back to school, and I got a really great job. I am 8 years stable now and I highly encourage you to see her. If you want to get better, just do it.
