Dr. Gutierrez has been my primary doctor for more than 15 years. She has always been my best advocate as to my health. She listens to my concerns, no matter how trivial it sounds. Several years ago, during my annual check-up, I pointed to a spot on my lower left leg since it appeared like a bug bite but never disappeared. Dr. Gutierrez checked it & referred me to a dermatologists at UCSD La Jolla. I called the office of Dr. Lisa Mier who set the appt for the next week. I went to see Dr. Mier who explained that her decision to get a very small area of the skin for biopsy. She will call me as soon as the results are in within a week. In a few days, I got her call with the diagnosis of In Situ Melanoma. She made an appt. for me to see the surgeon asap. In less than 2 week, Dr. Gorham was set for my surgery. It was a success & for the last 6 years there has not been been a recurrence. This is an excellent example of Dr. Gutierrez' top notch medical service she provided me.
