I visited Dr. Johnston several times with a friend of mine who had recently been diagnosed with a rapid form of dementia. Dr. Johnston was kindness - and professionalism - personified. She made my friend feel understood and cared for. She took as much time as was needed for my friend, whose verbal capacity was failing, to understand what she was saying. We were referred to Dr. Johnston by a senior physician I know who couldn't accept new patients. His recommendation was just what we needed.
