I'd went to Dr Lavender as my 2nd opinion. My PCP had referred me to someone else and he'd had a horrible bedside manner scolding me on my weight and humiliating me. I'd never been so embarrassed. I cried all the way home. I didn't need a dr to tell me I was overweight. I have a mirror. When I went to Dr Lavender for my 2nd opinion, he had told me that my weight caused the issue, but I could see he was genuinely empathetic. I was too heavy and too young (36yrs) for knee replacement surgery. He'd sat down on my level like a friend would. I'd cried, he got me tissues but I'll never forget that he was on my level and he spoke to me in such a manner that I wasnt humiliated like the first surgeon did to me. . He is a wonderful CARING doctor and surgeon, to me that is everything.
