Dr. Simpson was introduced to my family after giving birth to a term baby at 38 weeks 6 days, but weighed 2 pounds. I had gestational hypertension and there was a knot in her umbilical cord. We relocated from Georgia as I was extremely unhappy with the medical care and refused to give birth in that state. As an older woman of color I could not have met a more down-to-earth yet knowledgeable woman who looked like me and was a great listener. I went through a lot with this pregnancy at the age of 42 and Dr. Simpson just had so much common sense and really advocated for me and my baby. Cook Children's is blessed and lucky to have her. I also had some issues with administration but Dr. Simpson was there to help me get through it and reminded me why I needed to get through it. I will never forget this doctor because she is one of the best that I have met in this lifetime! My daughter's weight and health greatly improved under Dr. Simpson's care and in a very short amount of time.
