I got to my visit early as I always do. About 30 minutes or so. Unexpectedly, he took my back early also! The visit began with his assistant meeting with me first to discuss, rather than having me document all my complaints on 75 sheets of paper as many other providers do! It was great, I really felt heard. When Dr. Peterson stepped in, he made eye contact, introduced himself, had a medical cadence and care that I haven't experienced in a while. He was humble, present, and extremely validating. He used a great analogy about a hammer and nail that I will never forget and it was spot on! I have been in pain for months, just navigating the mold that often dictates health care today. It is refreshing to find a provider who is invested in identifying the underlying problem and working to find a solution. He spoke to the importance also of his role to educate the patient, provide options and then empower them to to decide the best course of action, outstanding!!!
