Patient Reviews
Dec 14, 2023
Dr. Chris Cate saved my life performing a complex and delicate emergency surgery (Crohn’s Disease bowel resection). No mistakes can be made with this surgery. I was just 22 yrs old and on the verge of sepsis and death. A week prior, my GI doc unfortunately missed the signs of a perforated colon and I was soon rushed to the ER in agonizing pain. Two weeks later and after many painful diagnostic tests that showed nothing, I had to have emergency + exploratory surgery. My first time to meet Dr. Cate was just hours before my emergency surgery. He was calm, reassuring, listened, and truly cared. His skill no doubt saved my young life.I’m now 44, a wife and proud mother to an amazing daughter. All of which would not be possible without Dr. Cate. I would travel the world to have Dr. Chris Cate as my surgeon again, if I ever need. Do not hesitate to have him as your doctor or surgeon. I’m living proof that he is skilled, kind, and above all cares. He literally save my life.

Board Certifications
What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
