It's been a long time, but Dr. Frakes has been the best doctor my kids have ever been to/with. While we have had other positive experiences since, no other provider's compassion, empathy, professionalism, knowledge, and just plain kindness - has ever come close to that of Dr. Frakes. When my son was a patient, we had undergone a myriad of tests - trying to determine what his issues was. After ruling almost everything out, he was diagnosed as having asthma (by PCH). Thinking a life of daily medication and restricted activity didn't sound great, I went to visit Dr. Frakes. It just so happened her own daughter has only recently gone through a similar scenario - with the diagnosis (and treatment) not being asthma - rather enlarged adenoids (which no one else had even mentioned). Long story short, we went to the ENT (referred by Dr. Frakes) who confirmed the diagnoses and subsequently performed the surgery to remove the enlarged (5-10x) adenoids. My son is now a HS varsity swimmer!
