I have been a patient of Dr. Lee for several decades after she delivered my baby. She has always been an excellent physician. Her office sends annual reminders for follow up exams and I have been good about scheduling every year. I recently received my reminder and called to schedule my appointment. Having just recently turned 65, I was advised she does not accept Medicare patients. I have a high level supplemental PPO plan as secondary insurance in addition to Medicare, and asked her staff to assist in confirming how much it will cost me for my ongoing annual visit. Her staff would not provide any support other than providing me with their tax ID number. I subsequently inquired who they recommend as a new gynecologist that accepts Medicare, and received no assistance. I found a new highly recommended doctor on my own, but it is very surprising and disappointing that turning 65 suddenly made me invisible to Dr. Lee's office.
