Patient Reviews

Dr. Christina Anderson is an eminently competent, pleasantly articulate doctor, who puts you at ease and even laughs at 'dad jokes.' She clearly explained the circumstances of my mitral valve (murmur) condition and answered all my questions completely . . . All in a way that I made perfect sense to me. For example, I asked her about guidelines for care of an ailing heart valve that are published by the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic. Those cardiologists, in Cleveland, currently say that valve repair procedures on patients without symptoms have the best outcomes. Dr, Anderson explained to me why she disagreed with them. She made the excellent point that any heart valve repair procedure has to be evaluated on a risk vs benefit scale. Without symptoms, many patients can go months or years without problems. However, they should be closely monitored, and may be treated down the line with a newer, more advanced and possibly more effective 'intervention.' Thank you, Dr. Anderson!

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams.
