Patient Reviews

I was afraid to go to Dr. Ackerman as he was a male provider, but boy was I wrong! I followed with another provider during my pregnancy that did not respect my input which put me into early labor due to severe preeclampsia. Dr. Ackerman was the on call and was soo calming and knowledgeable. He was great for my husband as well. Eased his anxiety and concern for my health and our baby’s health. He preformed my section and I was up making my bed the next day with no need for pain medication at ALL. He frequently checked on me and was so kind and funny. After I went home, he followed up with me outpatient and listened to my opinions to assure that my needs were being met. Unfortunately, a few months later, postpartum depression consumed my life. I finally caved and made an appointment. He listened to me, made me feel like I’m not crazy (even though I am) and even gave me a hug after he asked for consent and I agreed. He cares so much about women’s health! THANK YOU!

Board Certifications
What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
