Dr. Carls came on shift the second day I was in the hospital for extreme abdominal pain. I was 33 weeks pregnant. He validated my significant pain as no doctor had and made the decision to do exploratory surgery since imaging wasn’t showing anything wrong. It turned out I had a large fallopian cyst (which was visible in imaging) wrapped around my fallopian tube and my tube was black from lack of oxygen. Thanks to Dr. Carls, both me and baby were fine and I was able to deliver naturally at full term.
