I sought out Dr. Kontos after experiencing some recent issues with blood pressure and fainting. I am endurance athlete and specifically wanted to see a sports cardiologist who deeply understood cardiovascular remodeling, as it can trigger false positive 'abnormal' test results if not interpreted within context. I was blown away by my interactions with him and can unequivocally state that he is the best physician I've ever seen. He was patient and thorough in gathering my medical history, addressing my questions, and understanding my concerns. He was was proactive in personally scheduling the necessary follow ups and reporting back on results, communicating them at an appropriate level for my health literacy. He was polite, personable, brilliantly intelligent, and struck the right balance between covering all the bases but not subjecting me to unnecessary testing. I could not recommend him more highly and am genuinely thankful for the high quality of care with which he provided me.
