I've chronic pain along my back, limbs, and severe migraines, for 30+ yrs. I couldn't sit, stand, carry or lift as required by my job, so I sought out the top 14 MDs, in Los Angeles and they all told me that my option was to take more and/or stronger medicine, none of them offered me hope. After 4 years of searching, I stumbled upon a solution that got most of my life back, without the constancy or intensity of pain. I can now enjoy most everything I did before, with minor adjustments, but I have my life again, especially when I stopped needing the oral opioids all the time. Ins changed so I switched to him and he was the most relaxed, unpretentious MD who treats you as a friend. He is very casual, always pleasant; spends the time needed with you, which means he is occasionally late, but I'm more than happy to wait my turn to get considered and compassionate care from a PMD who has excellent medical and interpersonal skills.
