I experienced heart rhythm issues following a bad case of Covid in 2024 and mentioned it to my GP. She referred me to Dr. Huffman. I saw him but after he recommended the two tests, I cancelled them, thinking it wasn't necessary, since I had already been diagnosed with asthma. But a friend who is an ICU nurse strongly encouraged me to sign up for those tests again and I'm glad I did. Huffman is extremely supportive and a 1st Class professional. Immediately following the nuclear test he told me that I had a seriously accelerated heart beat issue and he set me up for an immediate cardioversion. That held for a while but then failed and he set me up for an ablation with another MUSC specialist. That day my heart rate dropped from my standard rate of 140, down to 60. It saved my life and changed my life.
