During the morning of Friday, June 3rd I was hesitant to go to the ER as I thought I was being a wimp with only mild abdominal pain. However, as it turned out, I am glad I did! I was diagnosed with mild diverticulitis and without the FANTASTIC care and concern shown by Dr. Picciotti and his entire team, I may merely have been sent home and told to suck it up buttercup. Dr. Picciotti and his staff spent ample time with me and he made the decision to have a CT-Scan which revealed the issue. Dr. Picciotti then proceeded to effectively explain (in laymen's terms) what I needed to do and the plan of action required in order to combat my diagnosis. I didn't have any other symptoms so if Dr. Picciotti hadn’t ordered the CT-Scan, then I may have left undiagnosed. A BIG thank you goes out to Nurse Caroline and Wendy & Kelly as well as Billy. Lona and the CT-scan tech (forgot his name - went to Rutgers) were also fantastic and deserve recognition. Of course, I would have rather been at work then in the ER, but it was great to know that these individuals not only showed up to work yesterday but clearly take pride in their work and are nothing less than consummate professionals. Bravo to Everyone and Keep up The Great Work! You truly make a difference in people’s lives.
