I had an excellent experience with Dr. Simich. I am a cancer patient and went to the ER one afternoon. Another “triage” doctor saw me but nothing got done. When I asked when my blood work was going to be taken, they said they were busy and would get to me. Dr. Simich came in for the night shift and immediately realized nothing had been done for me. She came over, apologized profusely, placed an IV, drew the blood herself, collected my urine and pushed my stretcher over to CT herself- I had never seen a doctor do that! She kept getting called to other patient rooms, dealing with multiple emergencies but within the hour I was in the OR because Dr. Simich was the only one that realized I had an actual emergency. She even came to see me the next day while I was recuperating from surgery in the ICU, and continued to apologize for the other doctor’s negligence. She was incredibly kind, helpful and empathetic.
