The hospital was packed. I arrived in an ambulance from urgent care with an AFIB diagnosis. Dr. Direcks was kind and understanding. He explained what AFIB was, recommended a course of action, and told me to see my cardiologist as soon as possible. He apologized for the wait. I hope I never go to the ER again, but if I do, I hope he will be the doctor treating me.
