Dr. Maccoll performed bariatric surgery on me in July of 2022. In the beginning of the process Dr. Maccoll warned me of the risk factors and was very blunt and up front about them. He did not sugar coat it, which I appreciated. I had several high risk factors and it was important to me that he made sure I fully understood. I decided to proceed. The surgery went great, however 2 weeks afterwards I got blood clots in my stomach and it put me in the hospital for 11 days. From my very first emergency room visit, Dr. Maccoll was there. He worked with my ER doctors and care team after I was admitted every step of the way. He visited me every single day in the hospital, even weekends. He answered all my questions and was incredible. Dr. Maccoll went above and beyond for me. He truly cared and made me feel like I was his only patient. I cannot recommend him enough, and even with the blood clots, I wouldn't change a thing. Down over 160 pounds and still dropping!
