I would first like to mention how terribly disheartened I am with the review below (September 1). A known drug user? How would someone know something like this? For as many issues as I've had with fibroids that warranted me needing to have multiple office visits, I have not ever seen such. I have not seen or heard Dr. Rutland yell at staff, have not seen anything even remotely close to drug use as she is so busy running to and from patients. In fact, she is usually smiling. In my experience, the appointments that are canceled, and or delayed have been due to births or office issues. That review appears an attack on a personal level, not professional. I went to Dr. Rutland after having looked for a black female doctor in VA and she has not let me down. My first visit she provided options for dealing with the fibroids. She and the nurse listen and immediately take steps to resolve. In fact, they will contact outside of business hours if need be. I am happy to have found this practice.
