My daughter never wanted to turn 18 since she would have to leave Dr. Romba/Lurie; when her brother began seeing Dr. Romba, she was actually jealous. This says it all. My daughter has incredibly complex diagnoses which no other psychiatrist could understand or help. Dr. Romba worked with us (even listening to my opinions/worries) as though we were her only patients/parents. She keeps up on the latest psych journals, is warm and empathic, intelligent and knowledgeable, and behaves like a therapist (not just doling out meds). She is a kind and caring human being and an absolutely excellent psychiatrist. I wish more doctors were just like her.

Board Certifications
What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
