My surgery was performed on December 3, 2024 at the Bakersfield Specialist Surgery Center (BSSC). Torn ligaments required both fixation with screws and cuts to the bone to better align my ankle. BSSC was superb as always, with a team approach which alleviated my profound fears and gave me total faith I was at the best possible venue for the procedure. Dr. Jex was compassionate and expert in all aspects of the surgery--preparation; performance; and after-care. Post-op, he followed my progress carefully. NEVER in all the ten (10) surgical procedures I have had in my life has anyone been so consistent in calling me and responding to my special needs. Having episodes of intense neuropathy due to a decades long lumbar spine injury, Dr. Jex worked with me to provide appropriate pain medication. I saw Dr. Jex, and his ever expert nurse, MONICA, today in the final post-op visit. With ongoing PT, I am confident of a full and pain free recovery. Dr. Jex and his teams are simply superb.
