Dr. Kapphahn truly cares about her patients. She goes above and beyond what is asked of her– such as responding to emails on holidays, late at night, etc.– and while I initially interpreted her demeanor as cold and off-putting, after a year of working with her, I have found her to be possibly the most personably, genuine, and loving medical professionals in the field. She loves her job, she loves her patients, and that is abundantly clear once you've worked with her for some time. She's seen a lot in regards to eating disorders, so if anything, her so-called "cold demeanor" is simply a display of caution and concern– she doesn't want to be your best friend. She simply wants to save your life.
