Was referred to Dr. Casso by dermatologist who found a suspicious on my ear. Dr Casso examined and feared it was melanoma. He took a sample and sent it for lab analysis which verified melanoma. Dr. Casso performed surgery taking he suggest margins around the melanoma. Lab analysis found the possibility of cancer cells beyond the surgical area. The oncologist said the possibility of escaped cancer cells was evident by not likely, suggesting I do nothing further. Returning to Dr. Casso as requested (by Dr. Casso) Doctor Casso did not concur with oncologist and suggested taking a broader area. I gladly agreed, the surgery was performed. Lab analysis found a few melanoma cells, but broad clean tissue beyond. I am forever indebted to Dr. Casso for his professionalism and his compassion. Not to mention that he is a gifted plastic surgeon and restored my ear to near normal appearance.
