Finding out you have cancer can be a scary thing but Dr. Castro right away made it seem better. He explained everything that would be done and was very warm and caring to me, my family and about the entire situation. He always makes me feel better after a visit. I truly feel like he cares and is looking out for my best interest. I am dealing with Medicaid and he often has to fight to get the treatments approved and covered, it's nice to have someone fighting for you because these insurance companies definitely don't care about your health. I had to fight the system to keep him as my doctor and I am so glad that I did.I have had just a few issues with the office staff at Mid FL. It's definitely hard to get through on the phone and to get a call back. It was hard to get the initial appointment but since then, they always fit me right into the schedule that my treatments need.The nurses and care team are all very friendly and caring during my visits.
