I began my surgery day with a pain level of 1 million! After Dr. Layon completed my surgery I woke up in recovery with a pain level of 5!!! Three weeks later my pain has not been higher than a 5 (average about 2-3)!! And my blood pressure is back to normal- it had been high due to the inflammation in my body from bone-on-bone in my hip!!! Dr. Layon knows his stuff!!! His enthusiasm for his work shows in his patient office visits and in the OR!! Dr. Layon has an excellent bedside manner and he explains everything in layman’s terms and makes you feel at ease. His energy is infectious and it’s evident he actually enjoys what he does! And he does it well!! I am definitely a happy camper after this experience!! My only regret is that I didn’t do it sooner! I feel so much better and I am so thankful for Dr. Layon and VCU MCV Health! THE BEST!!!
