Patient Reviews

First off let me say I have had multiple heart surgeries including open heart surgery and will tell you Dr. Pugliese and his team including the post surgery follow up by the experts from Abbot are very impressive. The entire Montefiore Moses facility also was very impressive. At the recommendation of my also amazing cardiologist Dr. Laura E Sutaria to see the Electrophysiology program I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Guttenplan. Dr. Guttenplan examined me and reviewed my medical records, after some explaining told me about a “ new dual leadless pacemaker by Abbott “. Dr Guttenplan explained it would be the perfect pacemaker for me due to my heart beating slow at times and fast at times. With the Abbott upper and lower chambers each getting a pacemaker the dual implants would give me a “normal beating heart” and possibly help me. In at 11am Aug. 14 walked out 3pm Aug. 15 painless, amazing surgery, can’t give enough stars to Dr. Pugliese and the entire surgical team. PS I feel great

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
