I saw Dr. Stevens in emergency at Alaska Regional Hospital. I had been feeling unsure about going as I thought it was too minor a condition but had some pain and was spreading over a wider area so decided better safe than sorry. When Dr. Stevens entered the room I immediately felt comfortable with her (which is very rare for me). She was immediately able to diagnose condition and was surprised to learn that it was really good I had come in. She was very clear with explanation and medications and made me feel listened to (often I have found, as a senior citizen, that I am invisible and my concerns not important; confirmed by going and reading Dr's notes on portals and finding that what was written was not addressing the issue I actually went in for). After this experience I would have changed my primary care provider to Dr. Stevens but it seems that she is dedicated to emergency care. I'm all my years I have met only a very few Dr's that have impressed me as much as Dr.Stevens.
