Patient Reviews
Jan 17, 2021
In February, 2019, my wife was taken to UofM with a diagnosis of necrotizing pancreatitis with sepsis. Dr. Machado performed multiple surgeries in an effort to save her life. Both he, and the heroic nursing staff in the SICU fought every minute of every day to try and save her. Ultimately she was unable to overcome the infection, and she passed away in May, 2019. The kindness and caring of Dr. Machado and the skilled nurses will never be forgotten.

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
