Dr Woodrum recently performed a focal ablation on my prostate using the TULSA procedure at Mayo in Rochester. Communication was excellent and he described the procedure and related risks thoroughly. I was considering other focal therapy options including Targeted Laser Ablation but Dr Woodrum convinced me the nature and location of my lesion as shown in the MRI and targeted biopsy results lead to the TULSA procedure being optimal with minimal risks of impacting the nerve bundle or urethra. I appreciated the collaborative approach between Urologists and Radiologists utilized by Mayo. No regrets as the procedure went smoothly and the early prognosis is nothing but positive. As a plus, the clinical notes and health data posted to the Mayo App is great.
