Patient Reviews
Nov 09, 2022
My daughter developed TMJ and migraines from a concussion with amnesia from a friend’s outdoor party where the parents installed a zip line without informing anyone. She took a 12 foot fall to her face. She was unconscious w/a bloody nose. Migraines began with a sore throat/raspy voice and would cause her be bedridden for multiple days and were progressively getting worse. Her neurologist even did a spinal tap to see if there was an infection in her bloodstream or worse. Dr. Karas immediately recommended a tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy to alleviate the issues. My daughter, who’s just turned 12 and has been dealing with this since she turned 9, has stated multiple times that this surgery was the best thing that has happened to her! Her migraines have lessened substantially and she’s not had a raspy voice, sore throat migraine trigger since the surgery. Dr. Karas said he knew this would help since she’s not his first patient with these issues from a concussion. We can’t thank him enough!
