I had the opportunity to see many patients w Dr. David Espinoza. As a student rotator it is our duty to learn as much as we can from both the physician and the patients. We are taught to observe how the physician handles himself, communicate w their patients, and decide what we want to take with us to our future practice and what we don’t. With that being said… Dr. Espinoza is who I will strive to be like as a future practicing physician. His communication with his patient, professionalism, and ability to level with his patients rather than speak down to them in a position of power is next to none. As a student there are preceptors that you learn what you don’t want to do or be as a future physician and there are few where you learn what you SHOULD do as a future physician. Dr. Espinoza is that person to learn from and implement his practices.
