Dr. Balch was everything you could ask for in a surgeon. He always made time for a thorough explanation and for any questions I had. I would say that immediately before and after my appendectomy was the best time spent at the hospital, mostly because of the immediately apparent proficiency of the surgeon and the O.R. team. Aside from addressing my condition and a successful surgery, the site of the three incisions are hardly noticeable. I applaud Dr. Balch's attention to detail when closing the
